Ally decided he wanted to become a chef aged 12 and was working in a professional kitchen as a commis chef by 15. His career has included a stint at Lindsay House in London where he trained under Richard Corrigan.
Returning to Scotland, Ally opened Osso with a focus on local produce. It is the only Borders restaurant to hold a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide.
