24. Amarone 2005 Alpha Zeta (Italy) £46.00
Hugely powerful, yet soft and harmonious, this unique style of wine is made from fruit which has been dried for four months. The result is a full, dry and intense wine with a core of rich raisined fruit supported by a lovely spice.

25. Mount Difficulty Pinot Noir 2006 (New Zealand) £37.00
A wine of great concentration and balance, with a well textured palate. The finish is long and displays great harmony of fruit and soft tannin.

Young, fresh, vibrant tempranillo . The palate is juicy and rich, with a nice leafy acidity which lends the wine an very quaffable character!

A classic, traditional and truly exceptional Rioja from a great vintage. Superb match for lamb.

28. Cabernet Shiraz 2006 Swartland (South Africa) £16.00
Smooth, full flavoured red from the Swartland region just north of Cape Town. Tremendous value for money and bursting with rich blackcurrant flavours.

29. Sun Dried Shiraz Beelgara 2004 (Australia) £28.00
Characteristically Aussie version of Amarone, full of brooding Shiraz fruit which has been raisined in the warm Australian sun, concentrates into a blockbuster of epic proportions.

Piercing and direct raspberry and cranberry fruit carry the sweetness of this wine beautifully. This is a good all-rounder, great with red fruit, and is a must with anything involving chocolate!

combination of floral and berry aromas.

This is a fruit forward, rich and yeasty Champagne, with a spicy, toasty character and clean refreshing finish.

33. Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label (France) - £54.00
Veuve Clicquot is one of the most beloved brands. This champagne is popular and has great finesse, blended from over 50 Crus, mostly Grand and Premier Crus.

34. Pouilly Fuisse ‘La Frerie a Solutre’ 2007 ( France) £48.00
A superb dry chardonnay-based white Burgundy from the Auvigue brothers in the southern Mâconnais region .
An elegant wine which is rich enough to drink with both white and lighter red meats.

35. Sequillo 2006 (S. Africa) £46.00
Eclectic mixture of Chenin, Grenache, Viognier and Rousanne grapes. Made by Eben Sadie, this is one of the highest rated wines from South Africa – lots of wonderful, ripe, tropical fruit flavours.

Red
36. Wild Hog Zinfandel 2003 (USA) £47.00
Wild Hog vineyard is a tiny estate owned by Daniel Schoenfeld high in the hills in Sonoma. The wild hogs all got eaten by mountain lions but this wine is big and individual, packed with intense fruit flavours. The work of a true artisan.

37. Amon Ra 2005 Glaetzer (Australia) £67.00
The much sought after Amon Ra is made from 110 year old Shiraz vines, the wine is a seamless and complex unity of cherry, blackcurrant, nutmeg, spice and the most elegant tannins.
This is without doubt one of Australia's finest wines.

38. Chateau Cantenac Brown 2001 Margaux ( France ) £82.00
Fantastic Merlot-based claret with a deep purple colour and lovely smoke-tinged plummy fruit. Bottle age has given rise to an array of flavours and an indefinable unique character which is unmistakably Bordeaux.

39. Brunello di Montacino 2003 Poggio San Polo ( Italy) £78.00
Grown in the vineyards surrounding the hilltop estate of Poggio San Polo near the beautiful medieval village of Montalcino in Tuscany. Made from Sangiovese grape variety, this wine is full and aged in oak for a minimum of two years.
Brunello roughly translates as ‘nice dark one’ and is one of Italy’s best wines.
